iPhone 5s - 3.8% of all iPhones in use, US has highest 5c adoption rate

A very strong showing for Apple as far as market share growth of the 5s globally and at least in the US, the 5c is gaining traction:
The figures were published on Monday by Localytics, which examined more than 40 million unique iPhone devices through its analytics software utilized by developers. The survey found that 3.8 percent of all iPhones worldwide are now the iPhone 5s, while the iPhone 5c accounts for 1.7 percent of all active iPhones. Apple's iPhone 5, released in 2012, remains the most popular handset from the company, accounting for nearly 40 percent of all iPhones active today. Coming in second is the iPhone 4s, with a 32.9 percent share, followed by the iPhone 4 at 20.2 percent.

Japan is king for active phones one month after launch. The Japanese, being huge technophiles, way back before it was l33t and cool, this wasn't really surprising and kind of expected.

As a former Ipad owner, I loved the platform, but I didn't really like the lack of free apps and games that the Android platform offers.
Don't get me wrong, the Itunes store did offer a ton of great apps, but if I'm gonna shell out a half of 1K or more for a tablet, loosen the belt a little and give users a little taste of why your device is so great.

Probably in the end, I will always be a Apple guy even though my wife is Android to the core.

While she has sold her soul to the devil, I mean Google, I choose to munch on the technological forbidden fruit of most things Apple in origin...
